is excited to present
PHANTOM
OF THE OPERA
The longest running show in the history of Broadway and winner of 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical! The show tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with Christine and devotes himself to making her a star by nurturing her talents.
AUDITIONS
Youth Musical Theatre will be holding preliminary auditions for PHANTOM OF THE OPERA online in the afternoon of Saturday, January 20, 2024.
Callbacks will be Saturday, February 3, 2024, in person.
The shows will be presented at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 24, 25 and 26, 2024.
Youth Musical Theatre's Director, Raymond Saar and our Musical Director, Diane Ketchie, were in the Broadway and San Francisco productions of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and both worked directly with the original Broadway Director of the show, Harold Prince (winner of 21 Tony Awards) as well as with the original Choreographer, the legendary Dame Gillian Lynne.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn and perform the show from people who actually lived it 8 times a week.
REHEARSALS
The only full company rehearsal each week is on Sunday afternoon. Saturday rehearsals are reserved for smaller scenes and fewer cast members. In this way, our rehearsal schedule never interferes with school activities or other rehearsals.
REGISTRATION
Please register for auditions using the Registration Form button below, and pay the participation fee of $495 securely with the donation button via PayPal.
(Auditions are via Zoom on Sat. 1/20 and in person on Sat. 2/3)
