A community based theatre program in Woodland Hills, CA
Youth Musical Theatre's home is at Woodland Hills Community Church (United Church of Christ). We provide an experience in theatre to youths from grades six through twelve who wish to participate, regardless of religion. We do this to develop self-esteem and confidence in participants and to give them skills and experience in being part of a team with a complex and concrete goal. We seek to provide a new fellowship for those who participate (and their families), which helps transcend ordinary boundaries like schools or neighborhoods and teaches that working with others is both possible and rewarding.
While we seek to be as theatrically professional as possible, personal growth for participants is our primary goal.
We are proud of our members and the many shows we have presented over the years including our recent productions of “Into the Woods”, “Les Miserables”, “Anything Goes”, and “Carousel” and "Oliver".
